Becki Harper graduated from the University of the West of England in Bristol with a first class degree in Illustration. Whilst there she was inspired to persue a career in writing and illustrating picture books. In 2009 she was highly commended in the Macmillan Children's Book Prize, and also received a Best New Blood Award from D&AD. When she isn't drawing and painting, Becki enjoys a spot of sewing and experimenting with other textile based media. She draws inspiration from nature, science, the past, curious objects, and cake!
